Popular stops

  • Guests with a taste for gruesome history should get off the bus at Stop 1 and head to the Edinburgh Dungeon, a theatrical showcase of the darker moments in Scotland’s history.

  • Further along the route, the Museum of Childhood and the National Museum of Scotland are another two must-sees for history fans, as is the jewel in Edinburgh’s crown, Edinburgh Castle.

  • Visit the Our Dynamic Earth attraction near Stop 10 for a fascinating, interactive exploration of billions of years of the Earth’s history.

  • Fans of royalty will definitely want to get off the bus at Stops 9 or 11 to see the magnificent Palace of Holyroodhouse, the official Scottish residence of the British monarch. The palace is open to the public daily, and guests can enjoy touring the lavish State Apartments, the beautiful architecture of Holyrood Abbey and, in the summer, a tour of the beautiful grounds and gardens.

  • On the other side of the city centre, take a walk through the historic Charlotte Square, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town district.
