Blenheim Palace
As the tour departs London at 8.45am, sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery on the way to your first stop, the breathtaking 300-year-old estate of Blenheim Palace – often referred to as the ‘real Downton Abbey’.

Your tour includes entry to the Palace and spectacular grounds, where you’ll have time to explore some of the finest State Rooms in Britain, bask in the timelessly beautiful Renaissance-inspired architecture, and stroll through landscaped gardens designed by ‘Capability’ Brown.

Bampton
Next you’ll visit Bampton, perhaps one of the most famous filming locations of Downton Abbey. You’ll see the library, which is Downton College Hospital; St Mary’s Church, which became Downton Church; and Churchgate House, used to film the Crawleys’ family home.

Take a stroll down the Downton street and snap a photograph in front of the shops, before you visit the post office and see the Grantham Arms, where Tom Branson’s home was filmed.

Shilton
Next you’ll take a drive through the village of Shilton to see The Red Lion public house, where Mr Bates went to work after he left Downton Abbey in series two of the show.

Lunch in Burford
You’ll stop in the picturesque market town of Burford to enjoy a hearty two-course lunch (optional), with a choice of British classics like sausage and mash, or fish and chips. You can also enjoy your own packed lunch if you prefer - Burford is home to a bustling shopping street, so there will be several places to grab something to eat.

You’ll then have some time to explore the town, which dates back to Saxon times and is home to historic, beautiful stone houses and a medieval bridge.

Yew Tree Farm (Cogges)
The final stop on your tour is Cogges, the home of fictional Yew Tree Farm, where scenes from seasons 4 and 5 of Downton Abbey took place, including the now famous “pigs scene” featuring Lady Mary and Charles Blake.

Relax with a cup of tea in the Café at Cogges and discover the majestic house and traditional farm buildings, before making your way back onto the bus for the journey back to London.

Your tour bus returns to London at approximately 6.30pm.
