Every visitor to London loves to do some sightseeing, but why not combine it with a few drinks along the way? The route of the Drink London walking tour passes many spectacular London landmarks and places of interest, including the Shard, Borough Market, Shakespeare’s Globe, the Tate Modern, the Millennium Bridge and St. Paul’s Cathedral. Remember your camera for those photo opportunities!
The camera will come in handy at the pubs you’ll stop at along the way, too, as they’re very different from the average bar. The pubs on the tour date back as far as the 16th century, with intriguing interiors, interesting layouts, impressive artefacts and historical items on the walls and tons of individuality. This tour is a great way to discover some of London’s hidden gems that a bus tour won’t show you.
“We recently went on Mind the Gap's Drink London Tour and had a fantastic time! Our guide, John was great, intelligent, fun and witty! He took us to several awesome pubs that we would not have visited otherwise but are so glad we were able to see! He had so much knowledge about so much more than just the frosty adult beverages. We learned so much history and gained knowledge about the way pubs are run in London. He was also able to give us some recommendations for other places to visit during our stay in London. All in all a great, enjoyable time and a great value!”
“Great way to spend an afternoon! We did the walk on a typical late November day with wind and rain bouncing off every wall and pavement. In many ways it made the experience all the more enjoyable as the "pitstops" and their history came more to life with our joy at being there! Each pub we stopped at had a different story and character, and the route between them was packed with interesting and relevant detail. John was not only very knowledgeable but also very easy going and we moved along at our own pace. I have worked in the area for years and have even been to a couple of the pubs without realising what was around me. Highly recommend this - in any weather!”
“An afternoon spent learning about the oldest pubs around London and seeing sights I have never seen in London before (I live here!). Our guide Alex was full of details but NEVER boring and very friendly. I booked for me and 4 friends/partners and they all said, they had a great time. I will go again when other friends come to visit London. Take the time to book and enjoy this relaxed and enjoyable afternoon. If you worry its a pub crawl or friends may get drunk DONT worry, it is not and they wont! Take your camera too, we forgot and I regret it.”
