Shakespeare`s Globe Theatre Tour & Exhibition

• Adult ticket: ages 16+
• Children: 5 - 15 years old (children under 5 get in free)
• Concessions: adults aged 60+
• Students with valid ID only (you will be required to show ID of being a student on arrival, this will have to be in the form of a student card, school library card etc.)

The original Globe Theatre burnt down in 1613 during a performance of Henry VIII. It was located in London’s Bankside, (close by to today’s Globe).

In the 1990s actor and director Sam Wannamaker loyally recreated ‘Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre’ as you see it today.

Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre Tour

Professional guide-storytellers provide fascinating tours of the auditorium, recreating colourful stories of the original Globe and the reconstruction process in the 1990s.

Tours begin every 15-30 minutes and are in English. Free information sheets are available in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Dutch, Russian and Polish.

Please note: as The Globe is a working theatre, Theatre Tours are not always available. When Globe Tours are not available your ticket includes a tour of the nearby archaeological site of the Rose Theatre: Bankside's first playhouse.

Shakespeare Exhibition

Located beneath the original Globe Theatre in London's Bankside, the Shakespeare Exhibition is an un-missable piece of history.

You will receive a FREE audio guide for the Shakespeare Exhibition, available in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.

The audio guide gives additional insights, background and detail to stories of theatre-going in Shakespeare’s London and today’s Globe.
