Placing Your Order
- When you place your order you will immediately receive an order confirmation email.
- You will receive a second email containing your official Gatwick Express ticket(s), including a reference code. This email will be generated within 2 working days. Tickets cannot be generated during the weekend as our offices are closed.
- PLEASE LEAVE SUFFICIENT TIME FOR YOUR TICKET(S) TO REACH YOU.
- If your email does not arrive, please check your spam filter. If your email is not there, contact VisitBritain.
- Tickets will be sent to the email address you give when placing your order. Please double check that this is correct.
- Do not travel without your email. A sample ticket is displayed below.
Using the Ticket
- Print off the ticket, take it with you and give it to the ticket inspector on the train.
- IMPORTANT TO NOTE - If you buy a return ticket, your return journey must take place no more than 30 days after your outbound journey.
- If your return journey is more than 28 days after your outbound journey from the airport, you will need to buy two single tickets.
Ticket Information
- Child rate valid for 5-15 year olds.
- Children under 5 years travel free and do not require a ticket.
- It is cheaper to buy a return ticket than 2 single tickets.

The train station at Gatwick is inside the airport complex and easily accessible from both the North and South Terminals. Simply follow the signs to your terminal, or the sign for ‘trains’ if you are coming into London.

Trains leave every 15 minutes in both directions.

You will receive your ticket with unique reference code by email within 2 working days of placing your booking. You must print this off and present it to the ticket inspector on board the train.
