If you’re traveling throughout the country, be sure to purchase a Britrail Pass either for consecutive or flexible days. You can purchase a GB pass if your travels include Scotland and Wales, or an England pass for amazing destinations such as York, Devon, Oxford, Cambridge and Bath. Youth rates apply for ages 16-25.
Do not leave home without purchasing the London Travel Card or Visitor Oyster Card, the easiest and cheapest way of traveling around London on the subway and buses. The London Travel Card can be purchased for 1, 3 (until 31 December 2010) or 7 days and has to be used on consecutive days. The Visitor Oyster Card offers more flexibility and comes pre-loaded with £10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 credits.
