Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead is a retelling of Shakespeare’s Hamlet from the perspective of the two minor characters Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. The action has moved to America, where the Phantom has spent 10 years living amongst the freaks and side shows, nursing a broken heart and yearning for the return of his true love Christine. His dreams come true when Christine is lured to America to play one last show. However nothing is as it seems as forgotten memories are unleashed, and old wounds re-opened.
