Situated in the heart of the West End at 1 Piccadilly Circus, Ripley's London museum houses over 800 authentic, original and unbelievable exhibits spread over 5 floors.
Robert Ripley, the globetrotting creator of the Ripleys Believe It or Not! cartoon in 1918, displayed his first collection of oddities at the Chicago World’s Fair in 1933. He filled the exhibition hall with hundreds of genuine artifacts he had gathered from his travels to more than 200 countries around the world. Today, his exotic treasures can be seen in 30 Ripley’s museum attractions worldwide.
Marvel at exhibits including an albino alligator, a 3,000 lb piece of the Berlin Wall, a Swarovski crystal-covered Mini Cooper and three unbelievable shrunken human heads from Ecuador. The attraction features exhibits so bizarre they leave visitors wondering if something so outlandish could really be true.
Additional strange items on display include a magnificent portrait of Princess Diana made entirely of laundry lint from a clothes dryer, a copy of The Last Supper painted on a grain of rice, and a mummified man. See the famous sweater worn by Marilyn Monroe during her last photo shoot on the beaches of Malibu, as well as a genuine moon rock.
Plus the World’s Smallest Car! Measuring – just 134cm long and 99cm wide, and weighing only 59kg. The P-50 holds the record for being the smallest road-legal car ever produced. It is powered by a single cylinder 49cc engine – and is now on display at Ripley's museum!
- Wheelchair access is available throughout the attraction
