Parking
Some parking is available at Hampton Court Palace at the cost of £3.50. Alternative parking is available nearby on Hampton Court Green at a cost of £3.00, Bushy Park free of charge, or at Hampton Court train station (please check at the station for pricing details).
During the summer season, commencing 1 April 2006, the South Gardens (including the Privy Garden and Lower Orangery), the formal East Front Gardens and the 20th-Century Garden will be part of the paying area. Entry to these garden areas will be included in all tickets to Hampton Court Palace and there will be separate gardens-only tickets. Click here to download a season ticket application form.
Visiting with the family
There is a designated Family Room at Hampton Court where parents and young children are invited to take a rest from the bustle of the palace! The play equipment includes a Duplo Lego table, an activity cube and various soft play shapes, all suitable for children under 5. Please note, children must not be left unattended. The Family Room is next to the Information Centre in Clock Court.
Family Trails which guide children around the palace are available at the Information Centre.
The palace is pushchair friendly if your child can bear the bumpy cobblestones! A lift is available if you want to access the upper floor without using the stairs. Please ask a warder for assistance. There is a pushchair park off Clock Court; however, please note that it is not supervised.
There are baby-changing facilities in both the male and female toilets near Base Court and in the female toilet in the Tiltyard Tea-room.
If any child becomes detached from their party, please let a member of staff know as soon as possible.
Lost children are taken to the Information Centre in Clock Court until they can be reunited with their group.
Adults bringing small children to the palace should be aware that it has awkward stairs, precious objects, traffic and lots of water - and we've found that children can travel a long way if they wander off as adults admire the buildings and gardens.
Please ensure that children understand that if they become lost they should ask a uniformed warder for help.
