Embrace the chance to strike your own coin to take home as a memento and follow the journey of a coin from a blank to the bank in the 45-minute Guided Factory Experience.
Led by a knowledgeable visitor host, you will enter one of the manufacturing areas to discover how blank pieces of metal are made before being ‘struck’ into coins.
From a viewing area you will be able to see with your own eyes the striking hall where thousands of coins are produced, 24 hours a day.
Explore over 1100 years of history in the exhibition gallery, the self-guided interactive part of the visit where you will be free to explore six different zones at your own speed.
Learn about the origins of the Royal Mint and its links to the Tower to London, its move to Wales and the universal hobby of coin collecting.
