After being established by the Romans, York soon became England's Second City and has witnessed wars, peace agreements and prosperity throughout its 2,000 years of existence. Tours take approximately 50 minutes and depart frequently from the Exhibition Square but can be joined at any one of the 22 hop on & off stops around the city
