Accommodation
Accommodation is guaranteed on all trips - Haggis Adventure reserve the beds and you pay as you go. The price is between £17 and £20 per person per night in shared dorm accommodation.
Itinerary
Day 1: London to Cheddar
Depart London and travel west to Stonehenge, the UK’s most famous and mysterious stone circle, then onto Salisbury Cathedral where you have a chance to explore the cathedral. Haggis will then take you to the dramatic Cheddar Gorge where you can delve into the caves, home to Cheddar Man, or have a walk to the top of the gorge.
Day 2: Cheddar to Newquay
Spend the morning exploring the wilds of Dartmoor and Bodmin National Parks. First stop is Canonteign Falls then Clapper Bridge where you can lookout for Dartmoor Ponies. Go for a walk and perhaps climb one of the many ‘tors’ before making your way into Cornwall and the chance of a trek to Dozemary Pool, made famous by King Arthur. You then head to Newquay, the UK’s surf capital and your base for two nights.
Day 3: Cornwall
The whole day is spent in Cornwall around the mysterious standing stones, doing scenic coastal walks, viewing St Michael’s Mount and maybe attempting to speak some Cornish. You visit the amazing Minack Theatre and stop at the most westerly tip of England for a walk to Land’s End. You then go along the Atlantic Highway to St Ives. Back to Newquay and it's 'Surf Time'! Ater a busy day you’ll be able to have a night out to remember in Newquay.
Day 4: Newquay to Bath
Leave the sand and surf behind to visit Tintagel Castle, the birthplace of King Arthur. You then travel east through Devon into Somerset to Glastonbury where King Arthur is buried. Here you can visit the Abbey or go for a walk up the Tor. You stop for the night in the historic and beautiful city of Bath.
Day 5: Bath to London
Spend the morning visiting the Roman Baths and wandering around admiring some of the finest examples of Georgian architecture in the UK. Feel like you have travelled back in time in the village of Lacock and then onward to one of the most impressive standing stone circles at Avebury before returning to London.
