Due to the temporary closure of Sutton Harbour Footbridge you can make your way from the Barbican via ferry or you can walk around via the Harbour Trail.
Car
The National Marine Aquarium is located in the Coxside area of Plymouth. Follow the brown and white fish signs, which can be found on all entry roads into the city.
The recommended route is via the A38 to Marsh Mills (Sainsbury’s) then along the A374 Embankment Road. The route for the Aquarium and Harbour Car Park (main parking for the Aquarium) is signposted from here.
If you have SatNav, the postcode is: PL4 0DX
Parking
Please note: the harbour car park is a privately owned pay & display, operated by Britannia Car Parks. The car park has payment by phone and contactless payment.
Why not leave the car at home and travel to the Aquarium more sustainably? The Aquarium is just a 15-minute walk from the city centre through the historic Barbican and on all local bus routes.
Train
There are regular trains to Plymouth station, which is only a short distance from the National Marine Aquarium.
Coach
There is a drop-off and pick-up point at the rear of the building.
Disabled Access
The National Marine Aquarium is committed to providing access for all. The Aquarium is accessible by ramps and lifts throughout. There are a number of disabled parking bays on site and there are drop-off points for minibuses and coaches. There are a limited number of wheelchairs on site, available free of charge on a first come first served basis, and there are full disabled toilet facilities. Carers for the disabled are admitted free of charge (1 per person) and guide dogs are welcome.
