How do the Passes work?

English Heritage Pass and National Trust Touring Pass

Passes are validated on the day of your first visit and each consecutive day counts.

For example: If you bought a 7 day pass and activated it on the 3rd day of the month, it will be valid until the 9th day of the same month.

National Trust for Scotland Discover Ticket and Historic Scotland Explorer Pass

These passes are valid for a certain amount of days within a limited time frame. Day 1 begins when you activate your pass at the first site you visit.

For example: if you bought a 7 day in 14 days pass and activated it on the 5th day of the month, the 5th would count as the first of your pass days plus 6 others until the 18th. The days of your visits on these passes do not need to be consecutive.
