With so much to do included in your ticket price, Chessington is a great-value day out that offers something for all the family!
Groove with the Gruffalo
Grab your dancing shoes and join The Gruffalo Groove.
Journey with other Chessington Adventurers at The Gruffalo Arena through the deep dark wood and encounter some familiar creatures from the much-loved story along the way through song and dance. Both kids and parents alike can learn the words and moves too. Plus, keep your eyes peeled for an appearance from the Gruffalo himself!
That’s not all the Gruffalo fun to be had at the Resort. There’s the ever popular Gruffalo River Ride Adventure. Launched just last year, splash down the lazy river as the story of The Gruffalo* magically unfolds in front of your eyes with exciting twists and turns along the way.

Tiger Rock
Make a splash on Tiger Rock, an exhilarating log flume ride where the whole family gets a unique view of Chessington’s resident endangered Amur Tigers - its ‘roar-some foursome’ - as you journey alongside their new innovative enclosure. Board a boat from the tiger temple, for an adventurous ride and get to see one of the world’s most majestic animals from the waterway, before your journey takes an exciting turn.
Swirling lights light your path as you travel through a long undiscovered sacred shrine to encounter the tiger’s elusive spirit and hear the animal’s infamous roar.
The riverboat journey’s finale sees you climb to the summit of Tiger Rock, before plunging the 15 metre tall misty waterfall drop, right through the centre of the giant tiger’s head carved rock. Said to have magical properties, Tiger Rock passes the spirit of the tiger on to those who descend the fall.
Land of the Tiger
Arrival of Tsar, Kyra, Olga and Kalinka, a family of endangered Amur Tigers, to a multi-million pound home featuring a new innovative enclosure with Europe’s first overhead trails.
With the introduction of Europe’s first overhead trails, guests will also get to observe these majestic animals in a whole new way, right above their heads. Plus, join experienced Carnivore Keepers for mesmerising tiger experiences.
High speed, white knuckle thrills
With over 40 rides, all the way from classic carousels to white knuckle rollercoasters, there’s something for everyone across the theme park’s ten different ‘worlds’. Those who like to hold on tight will love the Scorpion Express, a high speed rollercoaster train ride around an abandoned gold mining town. Expect special effects and pyrotechnics! Those who prefer aerial thrills will love Vampire, an addictive rollercoaster where riders ‘fly’ with their legs hanging free beneath the ride.
Rides for all ages – and those who like to get wet!
If that doesn’t satisfy your head for heights, get airborne again at the Monkey Swinger, a spinning swingset that’s a favourite with both young and old. It’s worth choosing your ideal seat before you get on, if you want to get wet (or stay dry!). If you get a soaking on the Monkey Swinger, then it’s an ideal time to check out the other aquatic rides – the fun Bubbleworks, a theatrical journey through a watery labyrinth inside a floating ‘bubble tub’, the steep drop and huge splash of the Dragon Falls log flume, and the spectacular fountains of Rameses Revenge. Take a look at the full selection of rides here.
Zoo
Get close to over 1,000 species from around the world, including big cats like lions and tigers, primates like gorillas and monkeys, and the ocean’s cheekiest creatures – penguins and sea lions.
Go panda mad with live show 'Pandamonium', a UK first featuring a whole pack of mischievous animatronic pandas! And visit the mystic Trail of the Kings to walk among mighty gorillas, highly endangered Sumatran tigers, and the king of the jungle, a majestic Asiatic lion.
Younger visitors will especially love the Children’s Zoo area, where you can feed and play with a selection of friendly animals, from pygmy goats and Kunekune pigs to woolly sheep and pygmy marmosets.
Aquarium
Get a magnificent view of some gorgeous tropical species including lionfish, angelfish, jellyfish and sharks from inside an underwater tunnel.
Food and Drink
Cuisine from around the world is available in each of the park’s themed worlds, including classic burgers, hot dogs, pizzas, pasta and fried chicken, sizzling Mexican and Chinese street food, and sweet treats including doughnuts and ice creams.
If your children are tiring you out, then don’t panic – strong coffee, cake and sandwiches are available at the Coffee Hut!
Baby food and microwaves for baby milk are available at many of the restaurants.
