Upon booking you will receive an immediate confirmation of payment from VisitBritain Shop. You will then receive a separate email from National Express within 1-2 working days with your preferred Skimmer Pass.
The Skimmer Pass is a digital product for use with a smartphone. You will receive the Skimmer Pass by email and will need to have access to a smartphone or tablet for the duration of your visit to be able to use the Pass.
A paper copy of the Skimmer Pass can be printed and used for travel but you will need internet access to reserve seats on all journeys before travelling.
Seats must be reserved at least 30 minutes before travel, free of charge. Some services can be busy, so we recommend booking in advance whenever possible to avoid disappointment . Further details on how to book, including a link to the Skimmer seat reservation page, will be sent with your Skimmer Pass confirmation from National Express.
When boarding each of your National Express coach journeys, you will be required to show:
-
Your Skimmer pass (on your phone or printed)
-
A confirmed seat reservation for your chosen journey
-
Your passport (non-UK) or international ID Card.

Scheduled services operate regularly, 365 days a year. Use the National Express online Journey Planner to choose your journeys, then book your seats free of charge using the link that comes with your Skimmer pass.
Please note: please add tickets@nationalexpress.com as a safe address in your address book and make sure to check your spam folder if you haven't received your Skimmer Pass.
