Blenheim Palace
Your first stop of the day, Blenheim Palace sits at the edge of the picturesque town of Woodstock in Oxfordshire, and is a 20 minute journey from the city of Oxford.
You will have plenty of time to take in the breathtaking scenery that the house sits upon as you approach the magnificent 300 year old building.
After wandering around the house and taking in the immense grandeur, you will be able to take a stroll through the grounds designed by Capability Brown himself!
Film buffs may even recognise some of the sights from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007) and James Bond movie Spectre. It also happens to be the birthplace of no other than the infamous Sir Winston Churchill!
Time for lunch!
All that exploring is bound to leave you feeling a little peckish! Fear not – after driving through beautiful Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire countryside you will stop at a quintessentially English village pub on the way to Waddesdon Manor. Enjoy a real ale or beer or even a spot of tea, alongside a hearty roast or fish and chips perhaps? (Lunch is not included in tour price.)
Waddesdon Manor
Glorious, family-owned Waddesdon Manor was built by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild between 1874 and 1885 to display his outstanding collection of art and to entertain the world. It is located in the village of Waddesdon, in Buckinghamshire, England.
This stunning house was built as a country retreat, in the distinctive style of a Loire châteaux. Admire the elegant towers which can still be seen today, and wouldn’t look out of place in the French countryside.
You’ll enjoy a tour of the house, and see rooms arranged as they would have been when it was first built. The tour also includes a visit to the wine cellars, containing more than 10,000 bottles of wine. You may even get a taste of one!
The tour departs Waddesdon Manor at around 5pm, for your journey back to London.
