The Abbey is open daily except for Sundays.

You’ll see the available date and time slots when you book.

The regular operating hours are the following:

  • Mon-Fri: 9:30 am - 3:30 pm (last entry)
  • Sat: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm (last entry)

The Abbey will close fully one hour after last entry.

Galleries will open 30 minutes after the main opening time.

Westminster Abbey is a working church and subject to occasional closures due to special services and events – please check the website for further details.

Planned closures so far are:

  • 1st October - all day
  • 3rd October - all day
  • 5th October - closed from 12pm onwards
  • 9th October - all day
  • 12th October - closed from 12pm onwards
  • 19th October - all day
