Prepare for the experience

On arrival at the attraction, you will be asked to kindly forward your e-ticket to a designated email address. Alternatively, please print your voucher and present it on arrival.

Children information

  • Children under the age of 4 go in for free but must be registered with a paying adult
  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult
  • Toilets, baby-change facilities and an accessible toilet are located in the Astronomy Centre and Admissions area
  • Due to the narrow interior of the building, buggies are not suitable for either Flamsteed House or the Planetarium, but there are external buggy parks provided outside both areas

Accessibility information

  • Most of the Royal Observatory grounds and areas are wheelchair accessible, with the exception of Flamsteed House and the Great Equatorial telescope
  • The Royal Observatory has accessible toilets, and cafés and gift shops are wheelchair-accessible
  • A limited number of manual wheelchairs are available to borrow free of charge from the Information Desk
  • Mobility scooters may be too large for lift access and visitors are requested to ask a member of staff on duty for assistance

  • Concession ticket holders may be asked to show a valid ID upon visiting the attraction
