If coming from Belfast direction, it would take about 45 minutes to drive along Strangford Lough.
The drive does afford beautiful scenery, with some wonderful viewing points to stop and have a picnic.
There is limited parking at the Aquarium, but parking is also available throughout Portaferry itself.
