One of the most popular history attractions in London
Welcoming nearly half a million visitors per year, the Churchill War Rooms provide a fascinating, insightful look at what Britain achieved during the darkest days of the Second World War.
See original, untouched government bunkers
The original Cabinet War Rooms where Churchill and his staff directed Britain’s fightback from deep underground give an amazing authenticity to the experience, as they are virtually unchanged from when they were last used in 1945.
The Map Room in particular is completely untouched from when the last member of staff switched off the lights at the end of the war, and acted as the nerve centre of the entire operation.
Discover what made Churchill a great leader
Though he came to be regarded as one of the great leaders of the 20th century, there was much more to the life of Winston Churchill than his role as Britain’s wartime prime minister – and the vast Churchill Museum explores the various aspects of his life and career.
Housed in parts of the underground complex that were previously used as Churchill’s accommodation, one of the museum’s highlights is a huge touchscreen table that chronicles his life and the timeline of the war.
Remember your visit forever with a souvenir
