English Wine Tasting & Vineyard Tours

After being picked up by your luxury coach, make yourself at home as you indulge in an array of English wines and ciders. Embark on a tour like no other as you are guided around one of the UK’s most acclaimed vineyards by your very own English wine expert who will enlighten you and your friends about this hugely popular emerging wine region.

Once your head is filled with all the wine knowledge on offer, enjoy a delicious lunch of local specialities and of course a glass of English wine! To finish on a sweet note, treat yourself with a scrumptious puddings.

After your traditional English lunch, get ready for another spectacular vineyard as you board your luxury bus and get chauffeured through the beautiful English countryside taking in its quaint villages and picture perfect scenery. Only to be met with more English wines and ciders the minute you get off!

Itinerary for the day:

Please note, vineyard visits vary depending on the date you have booked. Due to availability the below tours will alternate. You will either be taking the Kent Cellar Tour Door, the Sussex English Wine Tour or the Kent English Wine Tour.

Kent Cellar Door Tour (Thursday)

9.00am: Depart at The English Grounds

11.00am: Chapel Down Winery, explore the grounds and enjoy a tasting at the cellar door

12.15pm: Woodchurch Wines, meet a small producer with a hands on approach for a guided tasting of their award winning sparkling wines.

1.15pm: Silcock’s Farm shop and delicatessen for a seasonal 2 course lunch with locally sourced products and of course a glass of English Wine

3.00pm: The Hush Heath Estate for a tasting at the cellar door.

4.15pm: Depart for English Grounds

Kent English Wine Tour Itinerary (Saturday)

9.00am: Depart at The English Grounds

11.00am: Arrive at The Chapel Down Winery for your guided tour & wine tasting

1.30pm: Arrive at The Goudhurst Inn for a 2 course traditional English Pub lunch with English Wine

3.00pm: Arrive at The Hush Heath Estate for guided wine tasting

4.15pm: Depart for English Grounds

Sussex English Wine Tour Itinerary (Saturday)

9.00am: Depart at The English Grounds

11.00am: Arrive at The Bolney Wine Estate for your guided tour & wine tasting

1.30pm: Arrive at The Bent Arms, Lindfield for a 2 course traditional English Pub lunch with English Wine

3.00pm: Arrive at The Bluebell Wine Estate for guided wine tasting

4.15pm: Depart for English Grounds

You will return to The English Grounds at approximately 6.30pm

English Wine Tasting Tours will contact you after you book your tour to inform you of which itinerary you will be following based on your preferred travel date. All tours offer the same experience and you are guaranteed a fabulously English day out filled with wine, cider and more wine!

Upon booking you will receive an immediate confirmation of payment from VisitBritain. You will then receive a separate email from English Wine Tasting Tours within 2-3 working days confirming your tour departure.

How to get there:

Tours depart from: The English Ground, near London Bridge

Closest station: London Bridge Station - English Grounds, London, SE1 2HU

Directions:

• At London Bridge Station, take the Tooley Street exit.  
• Once outside, cross the road and turn right towards Hays Galleria.
• Then turn left onto Battle Bridge Lane which will lead you into the English Grounds Coach Pick-up point.
• Meet your luxury coach here and get ready for your English Wine Tasting Tour!

Opening times:

One tour departs at 9am every Saturday from May through to November and returns to the English Grounds at approximately 6.30pm.

Please note:

• Tours depart promptly at 9am so please arrive at the departure point at 8.45am on the day of your tour.
• Guides' contact details and directions will be emailed out the week before the tour.
• More information will be provided from the supplier upon confirmation of your tour.
• There is a maximum of 24 people on the tour

• The tour is strictly for 18+ only.
