This one-of-a-kind experience consists of a set day itinerary on one of the oldest and longest narrow-gauge steam railways in your very own luxury first class carriage. With the Ravenglass railway you will be able to enjoy seven miles of stunning scenery with an unforgettable premium service. The Ravenglass & Eskdale Steam Railway is one of the oldest and longest narrow-gauge railways in England. It was back in April 1913, roughly 106 years ago, when the original Ravenglass & Eskdale Steam Railway line closed. The line as we know it today was opened in 1915. This has always been lovingly known as “La’al Ratty” which means “little railway” in olde Cumbrian dialect.
