Westminster
Your Harry Potter walking tour begins at Westminster tube station in the heart of central London. It was in this very station that Arthur Weasley struggled with the ticket barriers in the Order of the Phoenix – hear how Westminster was closed for an entire day to film the scene, as you make your way into the city to embark on your magical tour.
The Ministry of Magic
On a side street off Whitehall, near the River Thames, Great Scotland Yard played the part of the visitors’ entrance to the Ministry of Magic in the films. You’ll visit the spot where Harry and Mr Weasley descend into the magical headquarters via a red telephone box in the Order of the Phoenix, plus hear more filming stories from your Harry Potter tour guide.
The Millennium Bridge
This modern footbridge across the Thames was famously destroyed by Death Eaters in the dramatic opening sequence of the Half Blood Prince. You’ll visit it yourself and get spectacular views of London from the river banks – to the City in the east, to the iconic houses of Parliament and the leafy west.
Diagon Alley
Walk through the fictional Diagon Alley – played by London’s famous Leadenhall Market – and experience the real-life whimsical atmosphere of the beautifully-preserved Victorian buildings, cobbled streets and traditional pubs and shops.
In Leadenhall Market you’ll also spot one of the entrances to the Leaky Cauldron, one of the films’ most famous pubs. You’ll also visit Borough Market, where an alternative entrance was filmed so that the Knight Bus could pull up outside.

Throughout your Harry Potter walking tour you’ll pass by plenty of iconic London attractions, including St Paul’s Cathedral, Monument and the Tate Modern.
