The Kelpies & Falkirk Wheel Half Day Tour - Rabbies Tours

The first stop of the day is at the famous site of The Kelpies. Get taken back by the modern day example of genius design and modern ingenuity as these 30m-high horse head sculptures blow you away. These famous landmarks stand tall for the amazing history and heritage of working horses pulling barges on the canal.

Next, you will get the chance to explore Helix Park situated right next to The Kelpies. Take a walk through the beautiful park and admire the majestic horses from a different angle.

From here, it’s a short drive to The Falkirk Wheel. Built to celebrate the millennium and restore the link between two of Scotland’s major canals, this unique structure can raise boats up 24m. While you’re taking it all in, have a look around the detailed exhibition and visitor centre. 

Leave the car at home as your transport is already taken care of by Rabbies Tours who will provide you with a comfortable 16 seat Mercedes mini-coach, fitted with refreshing air conditioning. Once arriving at your departure point, Parish Hall, please show your Rabbies Driver-Guide a printed or electronic version of your email confirmation.

Please ensure that you have selected the correct season tickets when booking. Your ticket will only be valid during this time frame. You must bring a copy of your email confirmation with you. 

Tour Seasons:

• Low Season: 4 April - 30 April 2018 and 1 November 2018 - 31 March 2019 (excluding 17 December 2018 - 3 January 2019)
• Mid season: 1 - 3 April 2018, 1 - 31 May 2018, 1 - 31 October 2018 and 17 December 2018 - 3 January 2019
• High season: 1 June 2018 - 30 September 2018

Opening times:

• Until April 2018: This tour runs once a day every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
• From April 2018: This tour runs once a day from Tuesday-Sunday
• There are no tours from 25-26 December and 1-2 January
• The tour departs at 9am and returns to Parish Hall at approximately 1pm.

Please note: This tour departs promptly at 9am so please arrive at Parish Hall for 8.45am on the date of your tour.

Restrictions:

• Children 4 years old and younger are not permitted on this tour. 
• Children 5-15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Exclusions: 

• Food and drink is not provided during the tour but you will have time to grab a bite to eat and drink at Helix Park after your stop off at The Kelpies
• Gratuities are not included in the pre-paid price but, although optional, are appreciated
