I Will Always Love... The Bodyguard Musical!

After six years in the pipeline, the legendary romantic thriller is back! This autumn, take one moment in time to see the West End premiere of The Bodyguard, the stage adaptation of the blockbuster 1992 film.

Superstar Rachel Marron (Headley) is the subject of a mysterious and obsessive stalker’s infatuation, and she seeks protection from former US Secret Service agent Frank Farmer (Owen). They both expect to call the shots, but as the line between love and hate gets thinner and thinner, neither expects to fall for the other.

If you wanna dance with somebody there’ll be plenty of opportunity, as the show features many of the songs made famous and immortalised by the original motion picture, including Queen of the Night, I Have Nothing and the song that defined Whitney Houston’s career, I Will Always Love You.

Featuring Heather Hadley and Lloyd Owen in the starring roles, audiences will be so emotional as they relive the magic of this classic love story. However, don’t expect a carbon

copy of the movie, as Hadley is determined to make the role of Marron her own. The Tony and Grammy Award-winning star has enjoyed critical acclaim for her leading roles on Broadway in The Lion King and Aida, and is making her West End debut with The Bodyguard. There’s little doubt Hadley can handle the production’s iconic soundtrack and match the dazzling vocal talent of the late Whitney Houston, having reached the Top 5 in the R&B and Dance charts with two songs from her 2002 album, This is Who I Am.

Royal Academy of Dramatic Art alumnus Lloyd Owen’s résumé spans the worlds of television, theatre and film. The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, The Monarch of the Glen and Coupling are to be found among Owen’s many television credits, while theatre highlights include Julius Caesar, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf and Hamlet.

With the famous 200-year old Adelphi Theatre as its venue, a stellar cast and acclaimed director Thea Sharrock at the helm, The Bodyguard promises to enthral and amaze audiences.
