About the show

A new production of Shakespeare’s Richard III unfolds in the Globe Theatre this summer, with Artistic Director Michelle Terry in the title role.

  • Richard almost has the throne in his hands, but before he can place the English crown on his own head, first he will set in motion a series of villainous events which will threaten the lives of everyone around him.
  • Imagine a world in which self-serving ambition is both paraded and pursued, and murderous crimes are committed and confessed with irresistible charm, charisma and impunity. Can anybody stop this narcissist before the whole country is both deceived and destroyed?
  • Following 2023’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Elle While returns to direct.
