City sightseeing Cambridge

City Sightseeing - Cardiff

Amended route

The City Sightseeing - Cardiff tour route has been amended due to road closures in the Bay area.

The disruptions will affect a number of stops along the route and as a result the tour has introduced temporary bus stops in the bay which are a 2-5 minute walk from the original stops.

City Sightseeing have displayed signs to help customers whilst on their tour.

3 August 2019: 

Tour will be running as usual, but the last tour will depart at 4.00pm from Cardiff Castle.

17 August 2019: 

The last tour of the day will run from Cardiff Castle at 11.00am.

31 August 2019:

 The last tour of the day will run from Cardiff Castle at 11.30am.

1 September 2019: 

The first tour of the day will depart at 1.00pm from Cardiff Castle, and will then run as normal for the rest of the day.

6 October 2019: 

Tour will not be running at all on this day.


City Sightseeing - Edinburgh

Saturday 25th May 2019

The tour will not server the Dynamic Earth bus stop. It will run directly through to Abbeyhill instead.

Sunday 26th May 2019

The first bus to depart from Stop 1 will be at 11:15 rather than the normal start time.

Hop-on Hop-off - Golden Tours

Saturday 6th July 2019 – Pride in London


Major event – Diversions and stop closures all day.

Stops 5, 6, 7, 30 & 31 will not be served during road closures.

At 1200 hours on Saturday 6 July 2019, up to 50,000 people and a number of floats will depart from Portland Place and parade to Whitehall Place via Regent Street, Lower Regent Street, Pall Mall, Cockspur Street, Trafalgar Square and Whitehall to Whitehall Place where they will disperse.

At 0600 hours, Pall Mall East will be closed and all traffic will be diverted through the Cockspur Street bus lane.
Also there will be a nearside lane restriction put in place on Morley’s Hill with a build in the TM to enable buses to serve the stop.

At 0800 Portland Place will be closed between Park Crescent and Duchess Street to enable the parade to form up.

At 0900 Regent Street will be closed Between Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus.

At 1000 Haymarket, Whitehall, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly will be closed.

At 1030 Oxford Street East and Westbound will be closed.

Routes will be diverted as follows:

Blue Route:
From approx. 1000 or earlier when Trafalgar Square and Whitehall are closed, buses will divert from Buckingham Gate 2, normal route to Parliament Square, then Bridge Street, Victoria Embankment, Temple Place, Arundel Street to Aldwych stop 8. From Aldwych stop 8, normal line of route to Victoria.

Stops 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 will not be served during road closure.

Normal line of route will resume once roads re-open.

Red Route:
From approx. 1000 or earlier when Trafalgar Square and Whitehall are closed, buses will divert from Buckingham Gate 2, normal route to Parliament Square, then Bridge Street, Victoria Embankment, Temple Place, Arundel Street to Aldwych stop 8. From Aldwych stop 8, normal line of route Westminster Bridge stop 17, the divert via blue route to Tothill Street stop 18 and Buckingham Gate stop 19. From Buckingham Gate stop 19 divert via Buckingham Palace Road, Grosvenor Place, Hyde Park Corner to Piccadilly stop 75, then continue Piccadilly, left Stratton Street, Berkeley Street to Piccadilly stop 32, then normal line of route to Piccadilly stand.

Stops 3, 4, 7 & 31 will not be served during road closure.

Normal line of route will resume once roads re-open.

Orange Route:

Will not be affected.

Lilac Route:
From approx. 1000 or earlier when Trafalgar Square and Whitehall are closed, buses will continue from Westminster Pier stop 79 to Parliament Square then divert via blue route to Tothill Street stop 18 and Buckingham Gate stop 19. From Buckingham Gate stop 19 divert via Buckingham Palace Road, Grosvenor Place, Hyde Park Corner to Park Lane stop 44. From Park Lane stop 44 continue normal line of route to London Eye.

Stops 3, 4, 30, 32 & 33 will not be served during road closure.

Normal line of route will resume once roads re-open.

Yellow Route:
Morning journeys will not be affected.

Green Route:
Afternoon returns will be in accordance to the finishing times of buses.

London Sightseeing Bus Tour - The Original Tour

Saturday 1st June 2019: Trooping the Colour (Rehearsals)
The following bus stop will face disruptions until 1pm:

#29 Buckingham Gate, Buckingham Palace, in front of Queens Gallery
#33 Parliament Street, Outside HM Treasury, Stop C
#34 Whitehall, Horse Guards Parade

Sunday 2nd June 2019: Federation of Sikh's March and Rally
At 1pm, up to 5,000 supporters will march from North Carriage Drive to Trafalgar Square.

The following bus stops will suffer disruption:
#2 Hyde Park, Queen Elizabeth Gate, right of Achilles Statue, stop X
#3 Marble Arch, Speakers Corner, stop Z
#4 Marble Arch, Park Lane, outside Bob Forstner showroom
#5 Coventry Street, in front of Shake Shack

#7 Westminster Bridge (The London Eye Side), In Front of Marriot Hotel and next to the Lion Statue

Due to this State Visit, Parliament Square & Whitehall will be closed to traffic.
