Your London Day Travelcard

Discover London with ease using the London Day Travelcard. Valid for your chosen travel date(s), this unlimited transport ticket gives you instant access to London’s buses, tubes, and trains. For budget-conscious travelers, an off peak London Day Travelcard offers excellent value, allowing unlimited travel on buses, tubes, and trains after 9:30am on weekdays and anytime on weekends, meaning you’ll skip the morning rush and save money. Ideal for families looking for a more peaceful journey, or anyone who likes to avoid the crowds.

Want to travel around London for two or three consecutive days? Then you can order a 2-day or 3-day travelcard. You’ll receive a set of two or three individual London day travelcards, one for each date of your travel period. Looking to travel on non-consecutive days? You should purchase individual 1-day travel cards for those specific dates.

What London Day Travelcard do I choose?

Choose Off-Peak to travel after 9:30am on weekdays and anytime on weekends

Choose Anytime/Peak tickets to travel anytime, including between 6:30-9:30am on weekdays

Choose Zones 1-4 for travel that covers central London and roughly 10 miles surrounding it

Frequently asked questions

  • Which zones do I need a Travelcard for?

    • Zones 1-2 cover the centre of London and most major attractions.
    • Zones 2-4 cover more suburban areas of central London, as well as places like Wimbledon Tennis Club and Wembley Stadium.
    • Zones 5-6 sits further out and includes sites like Heathrow Airport and Hampton Court Palace.
    • To check which zones you need, head to the London transport network map.
  • Is the London Travelcard a 24h card?

    • If you have an Anytime Day Travelcard, you can use it from the very first minute of the day (00:01) until 4:29 a.m. the next morning.

    • For an Off-Peak Day Travelcard, you’ll need to wait until 9:30 a.m. on weekdays to use it. On weekends and public holidays, it’s valid all day long. Either way, just like the Anytime card, it’s good until 4:29 a.m. the next day.
  • Which transport services can I access with my Travelcard?

    Your London Day Travelcard is valid on:

    • The London Underground (the Tube)
    • Overground and National Rail trains in London (except Heathrow Connect services between Hayes and Harlington and Heathrow, and the Heathrow Express, Gatwick Express and Stansted Express)
    • Southeastern high-speed rail services between St Pancras International and Stratford International
    • London buses (in any Zone, irrespective of the Zones shown on the ticket)
    • Trams in South London
    • Docklands Light Railway (DLR)
       
  • When are Peak travel times and when are Off-Peak travel times?

    If you choose a Peak/Anytime travelcard, you can use it whenever you want, including during the busy Peak period between 6:30 am–9:30 am Monday to Friday (rush hour).

    If you choose an Off-Peak travelcard, you can use it to travel after 9:30am Monday to Friday, and anytime during the weekends and bank holidays. It’s the ideal choice for those looking to avoid busier travel times, especially families.
