The Experience
The View from The Shard isn’t just a single viewpoint – there are three levels of viewing space, each offering guests a different dimension to their experience.
The high-speed ‘kaleidoscopic’ elevators (wheelchair accessible) feature televisions in the ceiling showing intriguing special effects and, after a brief stop on Level 33 to change elevators, take you to Level 68. Take advantage of the official Shard gift shop on the bottom floor, where you can buy your souviners to remember your amazing experience.
Level 69 features spectacular 360° views across the whole city and allows visitors to look down on the skyscrapers that seem so tall from street level. The view of London is well accommodated by the Shard’s guest ambassadors who are always on hand and can point out any landmark in London for you. You won’t be short of landmarks to point at either, as The View From The Shard gives its guests commanding views of the Tower of London, the London Eye, Canary Wharf, HMS Belfast, St. Paul’s Cathedral and many more.
You’ll be open to the elements after you’ve climbed the stairs to Level 72, also known as the open-air Skydeck. You’ll get a one-of-a-kind experience with the Skydeck’s open top ceiling, where visitors can gaze into the sky. From here you’ll be able to see where The Shard gets its name, as you look up to see each facet of the building extending skyward to form the building’s jagged, glass-like pinnacle.
Plenty of attractions promise a great view of London, but nothing will take your breath away quite like The View From The Shard.
