VisitBritain Gift Card (expired)

We no longer sell VisitBritain Gift Cards on our site. If you already have a VisitBritain Gift Card, you will still be able to redeem it against attractions until 9th August 2026. After this date, the VisitBritain Gift Card programme will close permanently. You can find more information about this in our T&Cs.

There are no fees associated with VisitBritain Gift Cards. You will only be charged the face value of the Gift Card.​

You have the right to cancel your VisitBritain Gift Cards order at any time during the 14 day cooling off period, provided none of the balance on your VisitBritain Gift Cards has been redeemed.

If you redeem the balance on the VisitBritain Gift Card (whether in full or in part) prior to the expiry of the 14 days cooling off period, you acknowledge and accept that you shall lose your right to cancel the VisitBritain Gift Cards.

We accept Debit and Credit Cards (excluding American Express).

The Security Code is the 3-digit number printed on the signature panel on the back of your card.

Your Credit Card is charged at the time of purchase. This purchase will appear on your Credit/Debit Card statement as ‘CS*VisitBritain Gift Cards’.

The VisitBritain Gift Card is a digital product sent via email on the date of your choice, with rare exceptions for processing delays. It is not a physical product. For same-day delivery, most VisitBritain Gift Cards are sent within an hour of the purchase transaction. For future delivery, VisitBritain Gift Cards are sent on the morning of the scheduled delivery date.

Our VisitBritain Gift Cards are not reloadable, so you will not be able to increase the value after your initial purchase.

VisitBritain Gift Cards can be spent online on selected experiences. You can find a list of our current eligible experiences here.

A VisitBritain Gift Card is an electronic Gift Card sent via email. On the delivery date you choose, a message is sent to the recipient informing them of your gift, with a link to retrieve it online. The link in the email displays a page showing the VisitBritain Gift Card you created (the design you selected, with your recipient’s name and your personalised message), its value and card details. This page also gives simple instructions for redeeming the VisitBritain Gift Card.

No. You can spend some or all of the balance on the VisitBritain Gift Cards. Any remaining balance will be saved until your next purchase or until it expires on 9th August 2026, whichever occurs earliest.

We adhere to all best practices to ensure successful delivery of our VisitBritain Gift Cards via email. There is a chance that the email will be treated as spam or the recipient did not notice it in their email inbox.

You will receive an email message confirming delivery, and a message notifying you that the VisitBritain Gift Cards have been viewed. If the VisitBritain Gift Cards go un-viewed for 15 days after delivery, you will receive a message with options for resolving the issue. You may also contact Customer Services with the order number from the email you received confirming your purchase, and we can let you know if the recipient has viewed their VisitBritain Gift Cards. 

You should treat the VisitBritain Gift Card as if it were cash. If the VisitBritain Gift Cards details are lost, stolen, damaged or fails to operate correctly or if the VisitBritain Gift Cards number becomes known/accessible to any unauthorised person (including if your Device is lost or stolen) you must immediately notify our Customer Services. You must quote the VisitBritain Gift Card number; if you fail to do so, we will not be able to cancel the VisitBritain Gift Card or issue a replacement VisitBritain Gift Card. Please see the full terms and conditions for further information on this. 

Our state-of-the-art technology helps inhibit fraud, however you must safeguard your VisitBritain Gift Cards for your own protection. If someone makes a copy and redeems them for the full amount, your copy will have no value. No matter how many copies are made, the value of the VisitBritain Gift Cards is tied to the unique Gift Card number. When that number is used, the value of the purchase is deducted from the VisitBritain Gift Cards. 

CashStar is a platform used for the distribution of VisitBritain Gift Cards. The platform is wholly owned by Blackhawk Network (Europe) Limited, an agent of VisitBritain, that allows consumers to securely order and send VisitBritain Gift Cards over the internet.

VisitBritain Gift Cards are no longer on sale. All existing VisitBritain Gift Cards are valid until 9th August 2026, after which the VisitBritain Gift Card shall automatically expire and any remaining balance shall no longer be valid/redeemable.
